Infraspinatus

The infraspinatus muscle is located on the back of the shoulder blade, below the shoulder blade ridge. It is part of the so-called rotator cuff, a group of muscles, that stabilize the shoulder joint and enable fine movements. The infraspinatus is primarily responsible for externally rotating the upper arm (external rotation) and securing the shoulder joint when pressure or pulling forces act. In training at your EISENHORN power station, it is engaged in many pulling movements or in laterally conducted arm exercises. A strong infraspinatus is crucial for preventing shoulder injuries and performing movements stably and controlled.
