Full body workout
Full body workout refers to a training method where the entire body is exercised. This includes split full body training, where the whole body is trained regularly, but the load is divided into various short and focused sessions. An example of this is the MIKE5 training concept, which focuses on the Big 5. Through a split full body workout, all major muscle groups can be efficiently engaged without overloading the body in a single session. Typically, complex exercises are used, activating multiple muscle groups simultaneously – primarily the classic basic exercises: squats, deadlifts, bench press, rowing and shoulder press.
Full body workouts are particularly efficient as they activate many muscles in a short time, boost metabolism, and increase both strength and endurance. They are suitable for beginners as well as advanced athletes due to the flexible intensity adaptation that allows for flexible progression.
