Rhomboids

The rhomboids (musculi rhomboidei major and minor) are located between the shoulder blades and the spine and play a key role in posture. Their main function is to pull the shoulder blades together and fix them inward. This significantly contributes to an upright, stable posture. They work closely with the trapezius and are indispensable for the healthy balance of the back muscles. When training with the EISENHORN strength station , the rhomboids are especially activated during rowing exercises or movements that pull the shoulder blades back together. A strong development of these muscles not only supports upper body strength but also prevents tension and posture problems.
